Yes, I mean the same thing. There are a couple of articles that are periodically discussed on websites with jokes and other content. But I've also heard opposing opinions that everything was fine, that this kind of thing didn't always happen, but only in certain eras, and that in general, things weren't as bad as they seem, and that only those who were there can truly know how it all was.
