What is better: quality or quantity?

It depends on which faction you're playing and, in general, it heavily depends on the map. For example, if you're playing as Haven, I would upgrade the archers first, and then build the Stronghold and Castle. As for the Fortress, how can you upgrade anything without it? ;)
