On the one hand, it would be possible to increase the number of "guaranteed neutral" cards in the arena, but if you increase it by one or two, it probably won't change much, and if you add too many, class synergies will suffer. On the other hand, you could ban all cards with neutral synergy in the arena, but that would mean banning more than half of the new set. And finally, you could make it so that in each pick, these synergies can only appear in one of the choices, but that seems like a bit too much trouble.

I understand, to some extent, what Cygames is doing – they seem to be looking at the experience of games like Hearthstone (where top shaman decks used to consist of 30 class cards and 0 neutral cards, and now mage decks often consist of 30 class cards and 0 neutral cards, and they still play well, which people occasionally complain about), but I still think that solving this problem with an overabundance of neutral craft cards is not a good idea.
