We both drafted; it was submitted without portals or Griffin Conservatories, but with 3 external dwellings of horses, a swamp village, 2 beehives, and 2 zeppelin huts. Since Blitz managed to take only 2 external dwellings on the first. I built horses and wiverns in castles - in vain, because in the end I was nowhere near enough gold to upgrade the wiverns. Barely managed to get to 124; the center was stupid, with guards consisting entirely of shooters or fast flyers. Dessa had no armor, no tactics, no slow. Useful thing I picked up: +6 all stats from 80+ master genies. I killed them very luckily, shooting them with marksmen and cyclopes while they were casting buffs. Then I made what seemed like a fatal mistake, attacking 125 on the last step (and the last second of the timer) against 128 vampire lords. They tore me up considerably and gave Anton the chance to attack with Marius on his turn. It turned out he had only 9 mana and no schools. If I had had armor and/or a couple of moralities/lucks had triggered at the right time (there was still a sun sign from the respawn), I would have even pulled off that finale. But it didn't work out; I bought back with 1 champion, 4 cyclopes, and 3 marksmen. What remained: 1 angel, 4 mages, 8 (?) wiverns. The passage to the central castle was blocked by 20-49 giants behind 2 Pandora's boxes, so we both returned to our respawns to wait for reinforcements and nibble at whatever we could. At 131, I broke through to a barbarian neighbor, where I immediately found a Griffin Conservatory (3). But due to the timer, Dessa didn't get to use half his movement points. At 132, I picked up boots on some rocks there, a beehive for 6, and a library. On his turn, Luna casts fly and lands in the central castle. I realize it's not an option to leave the opponent in the center with air control, so I turn Dessa around (who easily makes it in time with plenty of movement to spare), bring up as many troops as my gold allows, defeat the giants (lucky - no Gloves of Starlight), take boxes for 20K experience and 45 halberdiers (and I had just upgraded my pikemen precisely on this turn!), and attack Luna. Lucky again: she has 3 mana, gg. Thanks for the game!
