Can the difficulty level be changed during gameplay?

Ask him to send a save file with the desired difficulty... Although, Veteran difficulty is quite easy to complete in all missions...

I don't know what difficulty save file you gave me (it seems like it was Veteran?), but I'm playing on Beginner difficulty, and there are no problems...
