Dreams.

I had a dream that I was Link, and right before my eyes, some villain stabbed Zelda while I was being held by some dark elf jerk. Then, she approached me, like a typical villain, to sneer in my face and deliver a boring speech. Her accomplice was holding me by the shoulders or something, which allowed me to move my forearms freely. They didn't notice that I managed to get a dagger and stabbed the villain when she got close enough. The idiot holding me loosened his grip from the surprise, allowing me to break free from his grasp and then strike him in the stomach. That's how I got revenge on the scoundrels. I don't remember what happened to Zelda, but I don't think it was anything good, because the blow landed in the abdominal area, albeit from the side.
