Regarding the mechanics of Stellaris, while your two corvettes are blocking enemy planets, the enemy fleet will engage in a major battle with you (which it will win, as it won't be divided), after which it will occupy the capital and deploy its troops there, and then repeat the same process with all the other planets in turn. It won't even need to leave two corvettes at each planet after the fleet leaves the system. But honestly, I don't quite understand what you're getting at. Ple-Sen wrote that players were exploiting blockades, and that's why warships were removed from them. And you started complaining and talking about cavalry with sabers. What's the connection? It doesn't make sense.
