A good rate of fire is 5 arrows in the air at the same time. An outstanding result is 8 arrows in the air, which meant a firing rate of several arrows per second. Modern reenactors and history enthusiasts, trying to recreate ancient, in their opinion, techniques of "intuitive" shooting, achieve impressive results. In the videos they recorded, for example, an archer from Murmansk releases one arrow per second without any particular visible effort[6], and a Danish master hits a target at a distance of 70 meters with 3 arrows out of 5, fired in 1.5 seconds.
