SOCHI 2014

Holding the Olympics is a very expensive process. Especially a Winter Olympics, and in Sochi. The government invested a huge amount of money in rebuilding the Russian city of Sochi (which will now be among the top five cities in Russia). Hosting the Olympic Games significantly raises the country's status and its authority. I don't feel sorry for the Koreans. They weren't chosen twice because they didn't put in enough effort both times. Why didn't they build an ideal Olympic village after the first loss, so they could win the second time? We wanted to host the Olympics more and didn't pay anyone off. (naive pessimist Booties :))

Let's get used to the fact that we don't live in a backwater. Let's get rid of everything that the change of power brought us!
