Ugh. Tant, with full control, cut down 1.5k skeletons and besieged a castle with an interesting artifact inside: a Cloak of Renunciation + lightning resistance. It seemed like they had countered the mage, but Tant's 42 SP still worked. By the way, the key spell of the battle turned out to be water resistance.
