No, the Imp is definitely not better than everyone else. :)
You probably don't even understand what you're writing: what do tactics or ballistics have to do with it? - No matter how you position this 1 IMP, the Archangel will still go first and kill it. The point is that the Imp has a speed of 5, and if you add all the speed artifacts to that, it's already -9, and if you attack the Archangel with "Armor of the Damned" (which will naturally trigger the slow effect), then the one who attacks will go first, but that won't work with a Peasant. Do you understand that now?
And about the map... Please, give me a link or send it to my email - I would be very grateful. A good friend formatted my drive :) and now I don't know where to find it again.

I don't think this is it anymore... I played without any editors... and I didn't finish it. I got to the Necromancer's castle in some unknown month and was shocked... in short, the situation: I have about 200 Archangels - he has only one legion
I took all the castles and hid in the monastery - he constantly takes back two castles, but I don't let him. And I don't know how long I have to play like this... And there are still computers... So then my drive was formatted, and I didn't play this map anymore...
It took a very LONG time to get to the Necromancer! Even "camouflage" wouldn't have helped you. Well, you won't run into that again the second time...;)
