I was one ring short (not a quest) of the elixir, and couldn't find the +3 all necklace before the Haven, but I was ready to hold out in the Castle against superior forces for about 1.5 weeks. But most importantly—right in the turn before the FB, I forgot to put on the red orb! A failure! 2700 skeletons, 130 wyverns under the elixir, Charna is losing to Kira in defense by about 10 points. But since I thought I'd be under KS—I didn't put on any magic artifacts, no earth boost, and no book, of course! I didn't even double my mana, saving the doubling for later.
Fortune didn't abandon me after all, and I managed to bring the FB to a shaky draw.
There was a moment when only 1000 skeletons were left at the red flag, but by then the elves had run out of arrows, and half the army fell under 3600 impls. Although my impl with the titan breastplate could have been more substantial.
In any case, thanks for the game! It's a pity I was punished so heavily at the only critical moment, but that's how it goes :)

I thought that with magic my battle was a sure thing: 130 wyv were under animagic, 2800 bones and other small fry, good impls, and double the mana superiority. But the opponent played beautifully: expert dispel, then berserk on the wyv, they hit the skeletons and goodbye stack :mad: After that, of course, I could have just stood with my bones until victory, waiting for Kira's mana and antimagic to run out, but the opponent also had resist, which triggered more than once during the battle (actually it was only 10%) and in theory, I could have just wasted all my mana on his resists and gained nothing. Then paying off the bones and running against 11 archs—not a great idea, so I agreed to a draw. Thanks for the game!

P.S. Charna was given mysticism and, oh miracle, it practically saved my game :D Flew in to pick up the companion, there was enough mana for two DD - I do two DD, but there's a school of martial arts, which of course wasn't visible on the land view, and I'm left with the whole army without mana, and the detour is incredibly long. I had to stall for a couple of days, and by the way, I managed to snatch the boosts then. When mysticism replenished the mana—I finally took the companion and everything went as planned. Quite an instructive story :rolleyes:
