The editor in the fourth installment is inferior to the editor in the third.

In terms of appearance, it is much better. The main thing is to use it properly. Besides, it has a cartoonish style again, instead of the creepy and awkward pseudo-realism of the third installment. However, I agree that the colors are disappointing. The lack of content is a common problem for the series, considering the approach to expansions. But there is still the possibility of playing as a non-human, considering the presence of ghosts, plants, vampires, and aliens. Moreover, you can play as the latter pair almost from the very beginning, if you wish.
