In the Era of the Ancients, the world was undivided, shrouded in mist. It was a land of ancient trees and eternal dragons. But then came the Fire. And with the coming of the Fire, everything split into two parts. Heat and Cold, Life and Death, and of course, Light and Darkness. And from the Darkness, They came, and found in the flames the Souls of the Lords.
Using the Power of the Lords, they challenged the dragons and destroyed them. Thus began the Age of Fire.
But the time is approaching when the flame will fade and only Darkness will remain. Evidence of this is the layering of time and space on top of each other.
Among the living, there are cursed bearers of the Mark of Darkness.
Ancient legends say that one day, an undead will be chosen. He will return from the Darkness that once consumed him and go to the land of the Ancient Lords - Lordran...
