A former knight of the royal army of Vognar and his friends rob an ancient underground burial site in the depths of the forest, but upon reaching the surface, they encounter wild monsters that kill all the looters except Vognar, who manages to fight them off thanks to a magic scroll found in that tomb. Vognar decides that this may be a sign from above and is determined to dedicate his life to serving magic.
