The Faceless surpass angels in the magical arts, but they cannot compare to their main enemy in physical strength and combat mastery. It is not always possible to bypass an opponent using cunning and tricks, so, to level the playing field, the Faceless created Striders. These living armors of twilight steel bear a certain resemblance to mages' golems and gargoyles.
