The most influential necromancers take elixirs of longevity obtained from the venom of the Goddess's sacred spiders. This concoction turns them into asakku, or liches. The venom withers their flesh, freeing the necromancers from passions. However, they continue to age and over time become more like mummies than living humans. Consuming the elixir also tints their eyes a bright green color.
