This silver command baton is visible from afar – even through the fog of war – thanks to the special spells cast upon it, which emit a spirit of command to ordinary soldiers and officers. Perhaps its high degree of visibility contributed to the death of its original owner, picked off by enemy snipers during the first few minutes of battle.
