Time is one of the fundamental concepts in physics and philosophy, one of the coordinates of spacetime, along which the world lines of physical objects are extended.

Yes, something along those lines. For me, the greatest mystery remains why time, and not any of the other 3 or more coordinates (who knows how many there actually are?), was chosen as the "privileged" one from the point of view of human consciousness... And is it possible to think differently, without singling out "privileged" coordinates?

This question also troubles me, but perhaps there are several reasons for it. I just wish I could understand what they are...

Time is... time. You can't stop it, rewind it, speed it up, or slow it down. It's uncontrollable (like the berserkers and wild bulls in Might and Magic IV). And yet, if you manage to do everything, you can gain control over it.

Time is an imaginary coordinate in four-dimensional space, here you go :)
