Fellow mapmakers, I don't know if this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything similar, so I decided to create a map in the editor (Ver 1.60) and encountered a problem: there are no heroes in the heroes section. The developers' guide says that there should be a subsection there, but I can't find anything like that. In addition, there are no creature dwellings either; this may be related, as they should also have a subsection. I can't insert a screenshot, but when you open the "Heroes" section, it's just a blank space.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Hello. My friend and I tried to play Heroes 5: Tribes of the East (version 3.1) through GameRanger, but the game crashes on the first turn. We tried with two different clients, and the issue is the same on both (the clients are identical). We used to play this game a long time ago, and everything was fine. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, how can we try to solve it?

No, the clients are clean and identical.

If you're not using any mods or maps with mods and are running the game with administrator privileges, check the firewall and antivirus settings. There might be a setting that blocks all incoming connections, including those for applications listed in the allowed programs, or vice versa, a setting might be missing where it should be.

Can anyone tell me the name of the map or even provide a download link? We are playing as Deidre (and therefore as Necromancers), and the plot requires us to capture one Elven city.

As deepseek suggested, this is most likely the "Fate of the Empire" campaign, and the mission is called "First Blood."

The main campaign (Necropolis) – "Fate of the Empire"

Deidre is the protagonist of the entire Necropolis campaign. Here are the scenarios where she is the playable character:

1. "Necromancer Queen" – the first mission, where Deidre is just beginning her journey.

2. "Awakening" – Deidre explores the ruins and strengthens her power.

3. "First Blood" – a battle with the Imperial forces.

4. "Lady of Death" – Deidre confronts the Knights and strengthens Necropolis.

5. "Empire of the Dead" – the final mission of the campaign, where Deidre challenges Godric.

Could someone share an archive with the "Fate of the Empire" campaign? It has been removed from the Steam and GOG versions, but it was included in the very first official versions.
