In my opinion, this is a very harmful tournament and format. The problem is that it encourages stream sniping and teaches players how to do it. When a player realizes that their skill in this (stream sniping) has improved, they will always be more motivated to do it again and again. So, you want to teach players the art of cheating, but then those who support this tournament format should never complain about being caught. Or are you all stream sniping yourselves and decided to legalize it?

I remembered the words of Karen Shakhnazarov, who was told by the admissions committee when he applied to VGIK: "art should teach the viewer about beauty." I'm not claiming anything with this, I understand that it's just a game. If the number of hater-players and stream snipers increases in the community, and cheaters follow their example...

Maybe we should do an offline run, and who knows, we might even finish the tournament in one day :cool:

The point is that both opponents should play by the same rules. My observations from Tournaments show that at least half of the community doesn't even understand what it means to play by the same rules, and that this principle should be the primary one when discussing any situations. First, the principle of symmetrical rules for both opponents, and then everything else.
So, I'm all for promoting this very important idea. I don't see a problem if both are watching each other's streams; they agreed on it, and they both know it. This is about bringing the principle to the forefront – there are situations where we both watch a stream. And there are all the standard Tournaments and games where we both (we both!) don't watch a stream; we agreed on that.
I'm 99% sure that stream-watching is currently thriving silently (in some places) within the community, in part due to the silence surrounding it, and the predictions that such a Tournament will increase the number of haters are, in my opinion, very inaccurate. Why suddenly? It might even reduce them. For me, it's also a nostalgic reference to games from 15-20 years ago, like Davos mentioned, when we would gather at someone's place and play together, four or five of us. And here, the matches will most likely take place in a friendly atmosphere, and it will be less tempting to "expose" someone in a serious Tournament whom you were in a friendly atmosphere with before (and the atmosphere of the stream also extends to a significant portion of the viewers).

ps, to be honest, after reading what Toga wrote, it became clearer that the Game Master emphasized the wrong things, and the associations are negative; this is something to think about
