I have a collector's edition that's been sitting around for a while, so I decided to play it on my new computer, but it WON'T INSTALL!! :smile35:
Here's my system info:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz
8 GB RAM
64-bit system

Hmm, could you describe it in more detail? Does the error occur during installation? Or does it seem to install normally, but then it doesn't launch?
P.S. I also have 8.1, and Heroes V works fine... So, we need to figure it out.

well, it starts preparing for the installation and throws this error! and if needed: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti is installed.

Are you running the game under an administrator account? Is the game version official, not a pirated copy? Have you tried opening the disc using File Explorer and running Setup.exe as an administrator?

I installed the game, and it said the installation didn't go as planned, and now it's giving me this error: :smile45:

The file stopped attaching, I'll fix it now.

I've fixed the issue where files couldn't be attached.

You need to install DirectX 9; everything should work after that.

It worked! I didn't install DirectX, thinking it was too old, but it turns out I needed it, and now everything is fine! Thank you!
