My Abyss

At first, I thought that the guy in the upper left corner of the previous artwork was Gelt from Warhammer. And there's also something about lancers further down, it's like a Swordcraft party.

In the game we were discussing earlier, and which I've spent a considerable amount of time playing, an event occurred today that disappointed a large portion of the player base. You don't need to know what the event was; the important thing is that the problem stemmed from the team responsible for the server (this is a global server, with the original in Korea). I read the forums and was surprised by how much other players' opinions aligned with my own (I've only been playing since the beginning of January this year, but I play regularly and a lot).

This was always a game that thrives off of horrible gambling systems and disgusting amounts of grinding. The events were the only shimmer of light, and given that our 2nd anniversary is looking to be a complete let-down, there's pretty much nothing left.

And that's really the case. There's no endgame content in the game, and everything boils down to gambling. You either donate large sums of money or grind on multiple characters just to have a chance of getting something, and even if you do get it, only the numbers will get bigger, and the interest in progress will be satisfied (based on my own experience and the experience of my friends, I believe this is the main reason why people play MMOs). There is almost no endgame content or interesting party play. But the worst thing is this:

I encourage every player to take a few months break before you go even further down the rabbit hole. If you somehow manage to accomplish this, I can almost guarantee you'll never want to come back.
Even at the end, in full epics/savior you were aiming for, the game doesn't become any more fulfilling. So quit before you regret how much time you spent to get there.

I've wanted to quit DFO since October 2015. It's March 2017, I just turned 21, and I'm still playing this game. I don't find it fun anymore because you know "RNG", and being let down by Neople constantly doesn't help. Escaping sounds like pure bliss, but mentally I just can't.

This made me realize the reason why I'm doing things that don't bring me pleasure or any benefit (grinding, doing dailies in the Abyss when the game has almost stopped being enjoyable for quite some time, and many other things, including activity on the Hall of Valor) - I don't have the energy or health to do something productive; I don't have the mood to do something that brings me pleasure (even if it's something as simple as watching anime, reading novels, etc.). Therefore, I need something to occupy myself with and fill the void inside me, because without it, I will have nothing left.

I have a similar state, with its own peculiarities, of course. Although it seems to be a little better now.
