Not long ago, I conducted a survey among regular HotA tournament participants regarding the strength of castles, and Necropolis showed a very high variance in ratings - some placed it in the top three, others in the bottom three.

Perhaps for this same reason, Necropolis is a rare guest on streams - one is reluctant to play it themselves, and afraid to give it to an opponent.

I think it's time to correct this situation and properly test Necropolis under tournament conditions.

Rules:

1) Game version - HotA+HDmod+HWrulez (latest versions for all)

2) All games are played as Necropolis

3) Tournament format - Olympic bo3.

4) Templates:
- Jebus Cross
- Mini-Nostalgia
- Diamond
- 8xm12a
- [HotA]Nostalgia
- h3dm1
- mt-Diamond

In the first game, the player who is higher in rating chooses the color and template; the player who is lower in rating chooses the hero.

In the second game, it's the opposite. The template must be different.

In the third game (if required), the template is chosen by the black player from the 5 remaining templates. The player who is lower in rating starts as the black player. There is a negotiation for color/hero; the winner of the negotiation chooses either the color or the hero.

5) Games are played with simultaneous turns. By agreement, they can be played without them. Simultaneous turn deadlines:
- 7 days on Jebus Cross, h3dm1
- 5 days on Diamond, mt-Diamond, 8xm12a
- 12 days on Mini-Nostalgia and [HotA]Nostalgia

6) Restarts. For mirrored templates - 1 day, for others - 3 days.

7) Timer = 16+8+1 on all templates.

8) Red-rush is allowed.

Other rules are standard.

Players have the right, by mutual agreement, to make any changes to the rules except for the choice of starting castles.

Miscellaneous:
- This is a fan tournament
- Tournament games go into the rating by default, but at the request of either player they may not; this must be reported before the start of the match.
- The winner will be awarded something for their avatar (suggestions are welcome).
