I'll say it again. The main drawback of Volgograd is the price of accommodation. As far as I'm concerned, my experience in Volgograd 15 showed that people don't like to cram into groups of 4-8-10-12 (on folding beds). As a rule, they choose standard rooms with 2 beds. In Volgograd 17, the price is 31 rubles for two, which is simply exorbitant for this remote area on the Volga steppe. There are no discounts, and the price is calculated taking into account all the red calendar days for 2017. My question is, why should we pay so much? As a rule, people hang out, play games, and drink all day – they only sleep in the rooms. There are many other options in Volgograd with much lower prices, without reducing the level of service. However, these were not provided. Merlin's rant for two weeks can be ignored – I don't know where he will sleep and eat in Volgograd; I know it will cost him zero rubles, zero kopecks. According to his calculations, they will set up a temporary base in a remote location, simply lie on folding beds, buy army rations, supposedly identify the strongest, and then return to the main game. But that's not how it works. I calculated that for two people, it would cost 100 rubles locally. Otherwise, why go anywhere, pay for a room, and engage in masochism? Is fish, barbecue, a private brewery, and trips to a pub free? I won't even mention the travel expenses and the time it takes. I don't get the impression that everyone who comes to the CIS countries is wealthy. And, as a result, my conclusion is that the Volgograd 17 application is an ill-conceived, peculiar démarche – its goal is to split the already fragile Heroes community.
