Posts from Attitude towards complete anti-magic!
When the opponent has complete anti-magic, the interest in the battle drops significantly. Especially when playing a two-player game with a Barbarian.

This ability is given to Barbarians as a replacement for magic.
This is not antimagic, but resistance; there's a big difference.

And, in general, a Barbarian can also level up their magic skills... but why would you?
If you max it out, it acts like antimagic.
And you can also level up magic for a Barbarian... but why would you?

No, Antimagic doesn't prevent casting spells on a target; instead, 100% resistance prevents casting negative spells and spells that deal direct damage on a target, but positive spells are fine.
That's a good thing :)

In general, it's best to start increasing resistance to magic immediately, and then try to acquire magic.

And in general, a Barbarian can level up magic too... but why would you?
By the way, that's exactly what Barbarians do. Even though they still have very little mana... but still. They believe Nature or Life is something they absolutely need, at least levels 1-2. And there's another trick. They love carrying all sorts of scrolls (they basically have a warehouse of them). It's just that these provide their effect for half of the total mana, but for a Barbarian, that's not a bad option... especially if it's Haste or Teleport.
Personally, I believe leveling magic isn't mandatory for them... If there is time and opportunity, Tactics or Pathfinding would be better.
And in general, I feel calm about resistance, since the Barbarian also has an army. And my mage will definitely have plenty of room to run wild! :)
By the way, what do Barbarians actually do? They still have very little mana... but still. They consider Nature or Life skills essential, at least levels 1-2. And there's another trick. They like to carry all sorts of scrolls (they have a whole collection of them). However, these scrolls provide their effect for half the mana cost. But for a Barbarian, this is a good option... especially if it's Haste or Teleport.
I think it's not necessary for them to develop Magic skills. It's better if they have time and opportunity to develop Tactics or Scouting.
And in general, I'm okay with resistance, because there's still the Barbarian army. And my mage definitely has plenty of room to maneuver! :)

What's the point of leveling up a Barbarian (i.e., the entire skill tree) then? Just to stand there and awkwardly cast some spells? It's better to invest in Tactics or Scouting. And at worst, the Barbarian might find a useful scroll. I think that's the maximum amount of magic he needs.
