How does the Celestial Shield spell work? Does it only absorb damage during the first attack, or also during subsequent attacks? If so, for how many turns?

The shield has its own durability, which depends on the hero's strength and their skill in summoning magic. The shield functions until this durability is depleted.

The amount of damage the summoned creature will absorb depends on its level; with skilled summoning magic, it absorbs half the damage. And the strength of the shield depends on the amount of witchcraft used; the shield has hit points, and the more witchcraft used, the more hit points it has. All the damage absorbed by the shield reduces the shield's hit points. And as soon as it reaches zero, the shield disappears immediately.

The remaining shield lives are displayed for targets with a shield.
