In this thread, we will discuss all questions related to the future game.
Please also post your suggestions for improving the gameplay here.
Added 7 minutes later Major Whirlwind > Will the game be a Java application, or will only smartphone owners with certain operating systems be able to play it? If the latter, which ones?
The game will be a Java application for phones that support the MIDP 2 standard and have a screen resolution of at least 176x208.
If there is interest in the project after its release, we will try to create versions for devices with Windows Mobile and Symbian OS.
>Will the game be free? Much depends on whether the game will have a publisher. I cannot say anything about this yet. One of the options was free distribution, but with paid downloads of additional updates/scenarios.
There are no comments yet, so I'll start posting excerpts from the design document here, and I'd like to hear your opinion on them!
Morale Calculation
Unlike the original Heroes of Might and Magic, in Heroes of Might and Magic V, morale groups will be abolished, and instead, troops will be given an "alignment." Creatures can have the following alignments: "enlightened," "good," "neutral," "evil," and "demonic."
Morale is calculated as follows:
The "strength of good" given by all good creatures is summed. Each "good" unit gives +1 to the "strength of good," and each "enlightened" unit gives +2 to the "strength of good."
The "strength of evil" given by all evil creatures is summed. Each "evil" unit gives +1 to the "strength of evil," and each "demonic" unit gives +2 to the "strength of evil."
Neutral units have no good or evil status. Their presence is irrelevant to good and evil creatures.
There are also undead units that irritate both good and evil creatures. More on this below.
Let's define the value of "discord strength."
Compare the "strength of good" and the "strength of evil." Let's take the discord strength to be equal to the smaller of these values (example: if the "strength of good" in a unit is 3, and the "strength of evil" is 1, then the discord strength is 1).
Subtract twice the "discord strength" from the "strength of good." The resulting number will be the morale bonus or penalty for all good and enlightened creatures. The final morale value cannot be greater than 3 or less than -3.
Subtract twice the "discord strength" from the "strength of evil." The resulting number will be the morale bonus or penalty for all evil and demonic creatures. The final morale value cannot be greater than 3 or less than -3.
Neutral creatures do not receive any bonuses or penalties for good or evil creatures in the unit.
Undead never receive any bonuses or penalties to morale.
Let's determine the morale penalties given by undead.
For one or two undead units in an army, all evil, good, and neutral creatures receive a -1 morale penalty.
For three or four undead units in an army, all evil, good, and neutral creatures receive a -2 morale penalty.
The final morale value cannot be greater than 3 or less than -3.
After this, we determine the morale bonuses and penalties depending on the artifacts. For example, an artifact that gives a +1 morale bonus increases the morale of any good, evil, or neutral creatures, but not by more than 3.
The morale of undead units is always 0.
Morale affects the unit's damage. For each positive unit of morale, the unit's damage increases by 15%, and, conversely, for each negative unit, it decreases by 15%. The final unit damage is determined by the formula:
Unit Damage = Unit Damage + Unit Damage * (Morale * 15)%

The development of the demo version is nearing completion!
Currently, we urgently need artists with pixel art skills to refine the graphics (mainly to complete small, explanatory cutscenes). I am ready to discuss the details of cooperation, including the possibility of payment, in private messages.
