Try this: share a folder on one of the computers for shared access and try to access it from the second computer. If that doesn't work, check your antivirus, firewall, and router settings. If it asks for authorization when you try to access the shared folder, then the problem you described is most likely related to authorization. The easiest way to solve this is to create a user with the same name on both computers to avoid authorization problems.

I can't play HotA and SoD with my friends using Hamachi. Neither I nor my friend can ping each other in Hamachi. Also, I can't establish a direct connection via IP in the game itself. Here are the conditions:

The problem lies in the firewall – either in ESET and/or the default firewall (it's unclear which firewall your friend is using).

Allow incoming and outgoing connections for the Heroes executable file, as well as for the dplaysvr.exe file (look for it in the WINDOWS folder).
Also, check the DPWSOCKX.DLL file in the root folder of the game; sometimes, problems arise from its version.

Hello. I would really like to play Heroes through Hamachi. Everything is the same as with my opponent, but I can't connect to the server.

TCP/IP multiplayer mode doesn't work on HotA 1.4.2 (Win 8.1).
