I'm listening to these songs, and I'm thinking that when we sang them with the people, they sounded just as good, even considering that we were drunk. First, the way we sang them in terms of rhythm and notes sounds more organic than what I hear on YouTube. Second, the sound was clearer, and the words weren't slurred; maybe that's because there were fewer of us than in choral groups. Third, as it turns out, it also sounds pretty good without instrumental accompaniment; the main thing is that everyone remembers the notes and sings in tune.
