Almost every contest features several songs in terrible quality. If you can't find a decent quality version on YouTube, please send links from a player or another source, because the songs are already difficult to listen to, and in such quality, it's even worse. Or, choose different songs.

Ideally, the rating should depend on the sound, as I don't even read the lyrics of other people's songs, and I don't like growl vocals. But if Wish had sent Alcest (their sound is reminiscent of the first one, but they sing in French and have a more pleasant voice), maybe I would have rated it higher.

I stopped participating a long time ago, and I don't bother searching or struggling to listen to them anymore, and I don't even need to vote. It's all advantages.

I don't remember them having any songs about war. Although, maybe they do, I just don't know French. Yes, among similar music, I would give Alcest and Agalloch higher scores, but Batori is still something like the founding fathers of the genre, and without them, modern atmospheric black metal might not exist.
I'm always tempted to submit Amon Amarth to the song contest about war - in my opinion, they have the best growling vocals I've ever heard (although I haven't heard that much). I thought they wouldn't be appreciated, but since Cannibal Corpse was well-received, maybe I'll send them next time.
