I am perfectly happy with the English version; that's exactly what I was looking for. However, tournaments use save files from the Russian versions, which means the text is displayed as hieroglyphs. I want to play in English, so I'm asking for help.

Exactly! The small font is the main drawback of the licensed version of SoD. I played Chronicles, and the fonts are perfectly chosen there. Also, in Bukovsky's Armageddon, the fonts are large, but that's better than squinting to make out the letters. I don't know how it is in Platinum, but I think everything should be well-chosen there.
