DiaWest, did you play AstralWar1? I'm currently playing it, and it's not an easy map. It's comparable to playing chess, where you have to think through every move. And you have to think through the moves of not just one hero, but four or five at a time.

New maps are available on this forum. Files, Heroes 3.

Kurgadako's Apocalypse

The map is actually for Armageddon's Blade, but it works perfectly fine for Heroes of Might and Magic III – it just makes the game even more interesting.

I recommend playing "Pestilence Lake"; it's a really challenging map, and it takes quite a while to complete.

What about Clover Kingdoms? I started playing, and it seems like there are few resources, the initial army is minimal, neutral creatures increase every day, and you can't really build much in the castle... is it easy to play later on? And how do you avoid getting overwhelmed at the beginning?

Lake of Plagues is, in my opinion, the most difficult and interesting map! Not everyone will be able to win on it (on a high difficulty level).

The map is complex, but there's nothing particularly interesting about it. It's purely strategic.

A VERY INTERESTING MAP "KURGADAKO" WHICH I DOWNLOADED FROM THE IGROMANIA DISC. DEVELOPMENT GOES VERY FAST. THE LIMITED GUILD IN THE STARTING Castle IS QUITE WELL THOUGHT OUT, SOMETIMES THERE ARE GUARDS OF VARIOUS LEVELS WITH A QUANTITY GREATER THAN 1000 (ESPECIALLY NEAR SOME UTOPIA IN THE CENTER OF THE MAP). AROUND MONTH 3-4, some guy with skills of 80 comes out of the Dungeon! 15000 Skeletons and Berserkers were saved, but the rest of the army had to be dealt with. :smile24:

It's true that something was left unfinished in "Prodigial" (you can ignore the last battle), but overall, I spent about 14 months on it! And the other one is even better, it's several times more difficult – about 20 months.

And in the other one, everything is as it should be; it's several times harder—about 20 months.

"Podarok" was used by us as a map for an internal Clans tournament. Completed in less than 3 months... and without any tricks. In reality, it can actually be completed faster.
But I agree—the first time this map caused me quite a few difficulties! However, if you look at it carefully in the editor, many interesting things are revealed that are VERY well hidden—and if you find them, the Walkthrough of the game becomes significantly easier! In general, I have great respect for the person who created it!!

In my opinion, one of the most challenging maps is "With a Dragon in its Heart" version 2.0.
It features a great storyline combined with difficult gameplay!!!
