Is it just me, or does it not work? Is this not meant for the strategic map? I'd like to see the cheat menu.
I read about it and decided to try it too – there's no menu (like in Heroes 3). Specific codes should be entered either in the army window, the city window, the battle window, or on the global map – I tried entering it on the global map, and I don't see anywhere else to try. Maybe it worked in earlier versions (before Warlords)?
Regarding the "Cheater" rank. You can do the following:
1) Cheat as much as you need.
2) Save the game.
3) Exit the game.
4) Load the game and play.
With this approach, no one will call the player a cheater. Except, perhaps, their conscience.

Regarding the Cheat - it's not a matter of conscience, but rather a loss of interest in the game. If it's too difficult (or impossible) to complete the game on Champion difficulty, you can lower the level down to Beginner. But if you still can't complete it, and you don't understand anything in the editor, you can probably enter a cheat to figure out what the problem is - maybe you're not playing well, or there's a bug in the map itself...

Yeah, that's right, it works in fullscreen too ;) Just not all the cheat features are understood. Are you aware of their purpose?
Understood – just like in Heroes of Might and Magic III, but without the diagonal separator. And, like in Heroes of Might and Magic III, some cheats are comprehensive (more than what you can input manually), for example, those related to creatures, while others might be completely absent. However, this is just a first look at the menu; I haven't examined it in detail or loaded the game.

Please upload the screenshots; I’m too lazy to try it myself, but I’m curious.
And in the two top sections of the game menu, additional lines (cheats) appeared – in one, there seem to be 3, and in the other, 1 line, at the bottom of the column.
I'm currently playing the fourth game and enjoying the original campaigns. In the second campaign, playing as the Barbarians, I accidentally got a map where I managed to defeat everyone, but I couldn't complete the scenario. I looked up cheat codes because replaying would take too long, and besides, I know from Skyrim that if something isn't working, it's not always your fault; sometimes the developers just messed up and you have to fix it for them (which is the only time I think using cheat codes is acceptable). Prometheus didn't help; either I'm blind as a mole, or there was a real bug, so I had to use Valhalla. While I was looking for the right code, I found a couple of funny things described on the first page and decided to try them out. I had a good laugh. I highly recommend it. For those who are too lazy to try, I'm attaching screenshots.
