That way, we can find a new host if you start losing it. This isn't a country with just one obscure dictator.
Posts from Chess timer: step 3. Starting time. Also fairies and RR. 6 polls in one thread!
I prefer the starting time (the following are set: templates, turn time + battle time):

Yes, I've been looking for it for several years now. I would gladly relinquish my powers as dictator to a more competent player who is willing to run the season, keep track of the ranking, mediate disputes, and constantly nag debtors.
Oops, I didn't see the post, Dirty flooded the whole thread! :smile42:
I'm not saying you're a dictator/monster/tyrant, but the phrase "I can do whatever I want with my tournament, but I decided to ask you" is not appropriate and deserves criticism, in my opinion. The tournament is a forum tournament, it's as old as Heroes itself, and all major changes to the rules can only be approved by the forum.

The situation is actually much worse.
I constantly make amendments and clarifications to the rules, without any voting or democratic discussions and arguments, acting like a tyrant and despot. I do this when controversial situations arise, or when there are opportunities for misunderstanding or different interpretations. This often happens after discussing the issue with other judges in the Arbitration Committee.
Putting every amendment up for a vote is unthinkable – neither the players want it, nor would it be practical, as our tournament threads would be drowned in endless, pointless polls, and I would simply die from it.
Regarding the percentages, I already wrote that that vote was not accurate, and I see no point in adhering to its results.
For controversial points in the rules that imply an alternative, I believe it is fair if the new version passes by gaining more than 50%.
I put those positions up for a vote that have generated the most doubts about the validity of the rule over a certain period of time (currently about a year).
For those who don't understand why I do this, I clarify that these rules are primarily the rules for the seasonal tournament, which I organize. Therefore, I have every right not to consult with anyone and to write absolutely anything that comes to my mind. However, I don't do that.
I'm new here and might not understand everything,
but shouldn't a poll that started on August 30th and is scheduled to last for 23 days already be over?... I just don't see anything about a chess timer in the rules yet...
The poll has indeed ended, but you can still vote. Perhaps your vote will be the deciding one.
Poll with multiple choices. Voters: 65. This poll is closed.
Let's summarize the results.
Firstly, we found out that it is still not possible to upgrade faeries, because they are overpowered, because they are blue.
Now I know what to answer to the permanent question from our players about upgrading faeries. I will immediately provide a link to this poll. 36 votes against, 25 - in favor of lifting the ban. 59% : 41%.
Of course, it makes no sense to talk about lifting the remaining bans in Flaxe.
Secondly, the forum's opinion on red-rushing on XL+U templates has changed. 39 players (64%) voted to lift the ban, and 22 players (36%) voted to keep the ban. Therefore, I have made amendments to our rules:
II.2.1.1. On all templates, except for XL+U size templates, red-rush is prohibited:...
III.2. XL+U size templates...
...
Clarification:
Red-rush is allowed.
When the opportunity arises, we will also consider some other templates.
Thirdly, the last parameter of the chess timer has been determined.
The results are:
on XL+U templates (8mm6a, 8xm12a, 6lm10a, Spider, Nostalgia) - 57 votes - 21.05 minutes.
on the Jebus Cross XL-U template - 59 votes - 23.73 minutes.
on Diamond, Mini-Nostalgia, Anarchy templates - 55 votes - 19.02 minutes.
on 2SM4d(3), balance, Panic templates - 57 votes - 16.00 minutes.
Thus, our timer looks like this:
for XL+U templates (8mm6a, 8xm12a, 6lm10a, Spider, Nostalgia) - 21m + 8m + 1m15s
for the Jebus Cross XL-U template - 24m + 8m30s + 1m30s
for Diamond, Mini-Nostalgia, Anarchy templates - 19m + 8m + 1m15s
for 2SM4d(3), balance, Panic templates - 16m + 6m30s + 1m
I will enter these values into the rules. Players can agree on another time that is acceptable to both, however, if an agreement cannot be reached, these values will be set by default.
I will finish writing the rules for games using the chess timer a little later, when I finally resolve my computer problems. And this will definitely happen before the start of the Favorites games. And we will open registration in the coming days.
