Hey amigos, I've run into a problem... I recently got hooked on online matches, trying to relive the good old days. I started playing Armageddon's Blade through Game Ranger, but there aren't many people playing it. So, I decided to play The Shadow of Death instead, as they're not that different, and the balance in SOD is better. But then I found out that I have version 3.0, and I was told that I need the Platinum Edition, which has version 4.0. However, no matter how much I download and search, I can't find it. Can you help me?

So, which one should I download?

If you only need a "clean" version of the game, then download that. But I would download "Download Heroes 3 SOD + pre-installed HD mod".

After extracting the files, launch it through the HD mod launcher.

I downloaded it, specified the path to the executable in GR, and it says version 3.2. I tried to play, but it's the same as before: the main screen with the loading hourglass and that's it...

Oh crap, I completely forgot that you need to play through GR. So, here's the algorithm: open the launcher, click on the "create HD" button. Then rename this file to heroes3. And then, using GR, specify the exact path to it.

Note that when creating the executable, the HD+ button should be turned off. This is so that you can connect with them.

Here's what I found. The game's language is English when launched with GRa, version 4.0. The only thing I did was rename the Heroes3 file that was in the archive when I downloaded Heroes from the website; its previous name was Heroes31, but the connection problem remained. What did I do wrong? I tried creating an executable from HD Launcher, but the executable version was 3.2. After that, I simply tried renaming the existing file, and the version became 4.0.

Another surprising fact: the standalone SOD version on my computer, version 3.1, connects to an opponent but displays a message saying that the versions are different; the host has version 4.0, and I have version 3.1. With my 4.0 version, nothing is known.
