Rock, alternative, punk!

Unfortunately, the test only allows for one answer. I voted for Alternative Music (well, what can you do, that's my age:)), but I want to share my list of preferences with you (or rather, a small part of it):

I love it. R'nB, rap, and hip-hop... but my favorite music in my Music folder is the theme from the CASTLE in Heroes of Might and Magic V!!!!! Forever!!!

I listen to a lot of music... I guess you could call me a music lover. But among my recent discoveries, I've especially come to love Britpop (Lifehouse, Keane). And in general, I'm a big fan of Latin-Spanish music. I never get tired of it, so I listen to it constantly :)

And of course, Green Day, which is kind of like SKA. But I voted for other genres.

I compose metal music. I listen to gothic music.

I chose Metal, Classics, and Other genres. The thing is, it's very difficult to present music in a more or less objective way. As a result (as in this poll), there's a bias towards one side. The author remembers what he remembers and names it. Of course, he can't be blamed; one person can't know and understand all styles.
If we approach it specifically, I can name RAJFAJH as a band with perfect music precisely because no other band plays in so many extremely diverse styles at once.

I voted for rock, metal, and folk. I also greatly appreciate classical music, although I don't particularly enjoy listening to it. There's one great piece by Grieg that I absolutely adore.
I love any REAL rock, so for example, the Grimm Brothers definitely don't fall into that category; it's not rock:D
And I'd appreciate it if you didn't speak badly about metal and heavy music. I won't argue, but I can provide plenty of arguments in its defense. Anyone want to debate?))
I listen to a lot of bands myself:
Rock - DDT, Kino, Agatha Christie, Graveyard Shift, Alice, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Nirvana (the greatest band)... oh, there's not much rock here)))
Metal: Aria (my favorite), Metallica (only the early songs), Epidemia, Black Obelisk, Kipelov (a great guy:)), Ozzy, Offspring, Korpiklaani (folk-metal), In Extremo (folk-metal), In Flames (death-metal), Rage, Crematory, Dragonforce (power-metal, these guys are just virtuosos!!!), Iron Maiden. That's probably not all, but I can't think of anything else right now((
The main thing is that the music should be melodic, not heavy, and if someone thinks that heavy music can't be melodic, they are sorely mistaken.

I voted for Metal. Although I can listen to anything that doesn't mess with my mind, even if it's pop or trance – I can't stand prejudice and clichés. My favorite bands: Rammstein Megaherz Tanzwut Subway to Sally In Extremo Metallica Iron Maiden Slayer Rage Manowar Hammerfall Gamma Ray Nightwish Megadeth Kruger Judas Priest The only metal genres that I can't stand are Black and most Power metal. :) The representatives of the first should simply be killed (as painfully as possible), and in the second, I don't quite like fairy tales set to music. I like it when songs have a serious plot, and not stories about how Fedor Sumkin went to Mordovia.

I voted for the alternative; I love the combination of genres. My favorite alternative style is industrial metal. I like the hard, aggressive sound, as they say here, because it shows that the music is serious, but I also love melodies. Listen to Enigma – it’s really cool! And there’s also a music genre called Ambient; I recommend you give it a listen.
