Here, we share your tactics and playstyle in Heroes III. I think it will be interesting for everyone to read and perhaps for newcomers to learn something (like me):D

I always buy about 4-5 heroes at the beginning of the game. My main hero goes to gain XP, and 2 other heroes bring me units from a distance, while the rest accompany me and collect resources.

I usually build an upgrade or individual units at the beginning, and then proceed according to the situation. Sometimes, I even build a guild of mages early on. I usually build a town hall on the 2nd or 3rd day because at the beginning, everything pays off due to the fact that I have a decent army, and it's much faster to mine resources and gain experience, so the gold pays off. But in general, a lot depends on the map. I mainly play as Dungeon or Swamp. I don't know why, but I like them.:smile19:

What browser are you using, and what version? Perhaps you should update your browser. New versions of popular browsers are released very often: for example, Firefox is currently version 28, and version 29 is just around the corner.

In my opinion, problems more often arise due to a poor internet connection; the browser has less of an impact on this. As for the topics, it's rightly said – there's an entire section dedicated to tactics for the third game, so there's no need to duplicate them.

I'll briefly describe my mini-strategy when playing casually against the AI (I don't play against people because I don't have anyone to play with).
I always build 1 squad of melee units, 1 squad of the most powerful archers, and definitely a Capitol + Castle first, then only troops with upgrades, and only at the end, magic and guilds (this is if the castle isn't magical). If it's a magical castle, it's all the opposite, except for the Capitol + Castle (the AI doesn't know about rushing).

(I don't play against humans because there's no one to play with.)

I always start with a random map, so it depends on which Castle I get. :D Most often, I play as Necropolis or Rampart. The tactics vary depending on the resources and the situation. I take Vidomina or Tanta, and a second Necromancer, whoever is available. I try to build upgraded Vampires and Liches in the first or second week, or at least Vampires. And recently, I had an army in the second week – 8 Lord Vampires and 6 Liches, plus Skeletons. And with these guys, I defeated many neutral creatures. I don't attack those whose Vampires "don't drain" until later. And then I get Knights, upgrade Liches, and so on. When I'm really short on gold, I build a Town Hall. I always build a Prefecture at the beginning of the second week. That's how I do it...

Recently, I encountered an army on the second week – 8 Vampire Lords and 6 Liches, along with skeletons.

With such a setup, I would definitely replace the Liches with a Citadel.

The Warrior hero's tactic is to run without a spellbook for 2-3 weeks, then buy one in a new Castle. It's incredibly annoying.
