I wanted to share something with the forum members. Maybe it will be useful information for someone.
As a fan of Heroes 2, I have a soft spot for its soundtrack, or rather, for the music itself. No matter what, developers used to pay detailed attention to this aspect of the game world. Just think about the soundtracks in the castles from Heroes 2. I remember that back in the day, I would just put the disc in the CD-ROM, plug in my headphones, and sit back and relax.
So, that's what I'm getting at. Believing that the music and sounds in Heroes 2 are more atmospheric, I simply replaced the sounds from Heroes 3 with the music from Heroes 2. And, you know, I was pleased with the effect. :)
Maybe it will bring some joy to someone else too.

I made it simpler. :) I didn't try to reinvent the wheel. "Everything has already been invented." ;)
And I did it like this: I installed the Succession Wars mod, lovingly created by true Heroes 2 fans, took the music folder from it, and replaced it in the main folder. Voila! :)
