Posts from Inferno – “Angel, angel, burning fear” [Campaign 5 – Mission 1]
So: the mission is difficult, but great. I'm playing: "Hard" difficulty, Blood Mage, skill (+6% FIRE).
At first, I only recruited Lilims; I killed all the others who joined to get experience.
I captured a neutral Castle at the bottom and got into a long war with Tor-Berith (crimson color), who has two Castles at the top left! He initially has a lot of Lilims in his army, more than 100! The first time, I didn't manage to defeat him - I killed him, but I was left with 15% of my army. With such a force, I couldn't even take his first Castle... I reloaded two turns back. I saw that there was a Crypt where undead creatures were guarding 20 Matrons. I defeated the undead and took the Matrons! That made a difference! I attacked and defeated Tor-Berith and his 1st Castle! And that's when it started; the next day, he jumped into a teleport, the exit of which is located near the captured Castle! He simply didn't let me move up to his second Castle, where the teleport entrance was located... I had to return to the captured Castle so that he wouldn't recapture it. I got tired of it!! I gave up and went up to take his second Castle! Strangely enough, Tor-Berith didn't jump anymore; he stayed in his main Castle and waited for me! In vain))) As soon as I defeated him, the orange faction appeared and easily took the lower Castle, which was neutral, and went to my very first Castle. I teleported there with my main hero, and the enemy attacked me and died! He didn't put up much resistance in his Castle.
The gates opened, and a lovely lady with a considerable army came to me. What a bitch! She killed all the doggies... It's a pity, but the Lilims are all alive, and they are the Blood Mage's main armor-piercing unit.
Togrul settled in the Castle and didn't come out! This helped me go around the entire map again and kill almost all the neutrals - I was leveling up the dynastic staff "Will of Urgash". I returned to Togrul - I killed the first hero, refused to fight Togrul - I went to the Worm and attacked, having a nice ring-shaped ally who had swallowed the Sadists.
I knew that after this battle, there would be another one, but I didn't know if I would need an army or not, so I saved all the Lilims, Berserkers, and Sadists, but not the doggies, unfortunately.
The battle for Azzi!" Oh! That's fantastic! But the trick is that I was surrounded by Sadists, Demons, and Berserkers, and the doggies stood separately in the center of the map. So, they only bit the Berserkers at the beginning, and they didn't kill anyone else because there was no one nearby for the "Foul Blood" ability...
The boss is good! Great! I put "Foul Blood" on the Demons (Destroyers), and they ultimately killed the Sadists (for which I received an achievement). The real fun began when the untouched doggies, 1000 of them, started attacking Azzi with "Drain Life"! I thought I wouldn't win the battle! But I managed - Azzi had less than 4000 health left!
Can you play as him?
In company games, there’s a maximum of one turn in Blood and two in Tears.
I'm currently playing with Sandor, the Blood Warrior, but I'm not really having any major problems.
Right now, I'm about to start the third mission with him, and I'll specifically set the difficulty to Hard to see what's so scary there.
By the way, I played through Cove with the Sorceress, because when the guys run away, I'm too lazy to chase them down and attack – I just let them go in peace).
Supric
That's a great idea! I don't really use these spells much anyway – I'll focus on blood magic!
And I already forgot what the question was about)).
It seems I was generally asking about any games.
But after reading the topic more carefully, I saw that it was about the difficult level. I also want to try it.

And it seems you can't play as Azzi anymore.
You can only fight his doppelganger, Azmodan, later in the campaign for the humans.
Added after 15 hours and 34 minutes
Has anyone beaten the Azazel battle on patch 1.8 on hard difficulty?
I can't beat it, help!

So far, I've captured 2 castles, and I'm thinking about who to attack next.
Daleb once left her castle and tried to capture one of mine. I defeated her, losing 5 dogs, but there were many options; this one turned out to be the least costly – I had to fight her in the open field.
Kirill is level 5 for now – he has mastered "Drain / Reinforce / Tactics / Counter Strike". He has "Mass Drain," but he only has 40 mana, and it requires 45. Maybe capturing the Necropolis's broodmothers will help with mana. We'll fight and see.
Moderated: FLOOD in the message
The worms from the abyss are very helpful. I visited "Armageddon's Blade" and am now going to crush everything :smile14: :smile14: :smile14: :smile14:описание Темных Эльфов

First, I took down Ter-Berit at the gate without any losses, using only Lilims, and then I defeated Malik in the city with the same Lilims, 536 of them – again, without any losses! I used Reinforce first, then, as needed, Drain and Summon to distract the units moving towards the gate.
I really want to get "Restoration" from Earth magic as well. I'm thinking about it – should I take it or not?
I guess I should develop fire skills and generate mana to the maximum. What do you think?
Only now, after 4 campaigns and at the beginning of the 5th, I noticed that if your units stand on a mana well (dragon vein) during a battle, the Hero gains mana – 10 mana points, if the units are defending :smile28:! I've seen that traps work, but I only noticed the mana effect now, and that was by chance, when I looked at the battle log :smile13:.
By the way, I now remember that enemy units moved more actively :smile08: when they were on the battlefield with the statue of the weeping maiden.
Is it possible to defeat 50 Lords near the library on Togrul's territory without losses or at least with minimal losses? Lilims can't cast "Kiss" on them, so I have to shoot, BUT they move first on the next turn and destroy many creatures!
I divided the Lilims into 2 stacks (one stack of 100 + the rest in another stack) + left the dogs, used Reinforce on the dogs, Drain, Open Gate, and the Hero's attack on the Lords. I realized that when you directly attack the Lords, you take much more damage than just defending. The first time, I defeated them with reinforced dogs, then only with Lilim's counterattack and ranged attacks. I didn't attack the Lords even with summoned creatures! I lost only 48 Lilims; in another scenario, it was 37 Lilims + 7 dogs.
I wonder if I can manage without fire magic in the final battle? There's nowhere else to develop – level 10.
It's a pity that the second stack of Lords, behind Togrul's castle, is also not weak, as are the Lilims standing opposite them – 3 stacks of 600-700 each! I just want to defeat them both :smile19:.
I managed to defeat the Lords :smile44:!
I put all the Lilims in one stack + dogs + fanatics + 2 dogs separately to distract the enemy. I lost only 2 dogs :smile20:, the ones that were distracting! I actively used Open Gate, Drain + just in case, I cast Reinforce on the fanatics. The first thing to do is to protect the Lilims and fanatics from enemy attacks with 2 distracting stacks of dogs... and into battle :smile49:!
In the next mission, there's practically no one to "Drain" – I'll have to fight undead :smile24:, so "Restoration" will be very useful!
I already regret that I spent the skill point I earned first on fire magic, and not on Restoration!
