Maybe you could share your extensive experience; I haven't seen you at any similar Heroes events.

What do Heroes events have to do with it? I meant the experience of renting a cottage for parties – we rented houses near the equator, and other friends did too. And if we're talking about it, I only play Heroes at a casual/fun level, and if I participated in tournaments, it was only in King of the Hill 4. And that was a long time ago.

Is there any additional leisure available there, such as snowmobiles/quad bikes, etc.? Is there no pool at all, or is there one in a separate room for an extra charge?

What snowmobiles and pool? ) It's a house within the city limits. A sauna and a pool could still be possible, but then the rest of the house's space would suffer significantly (and here it's 600 meters and there's really plenty of room). For leisure, there is Russian billiards, and I'll check about a ping-pong table as well. It's a "party house." A nice house — I've seen it with my own eyes ) If some other "off-site" leisure is needed, we can try to arrange it. Although, something tells me that most people won't be that interested, and everyone will just forget about it in the end :)

If you need some other form of "out-of-home" entertainment, you could try organizing something. Although, I have a feeling that it won't resonate with most people, and everyone will eventually lose interest.

Tomorrow I'll buy the tickets. The departure from Moscow is on January 2nd at 16:57, and the arrival in Kyiv is at 04:13, or the departure from Moscow is at 22:15, and the arrival in Kyiv is at 11:26. Which time is better? Honestly, I prefer the train that arrives at 04:13 because I can go straight from the journey to sleep, and I'll have to go through customs not at 3-4 a.m. (as with the second option), but at 23:00, and the first train also has almost 3 hours less travel time. But I understand that the house will only be available on January 3rd from 12:00, right? The return train leaves Kyiv at 13:20 on January 7th and arrives in Moscow at 05:33. Is this time frame okay? Or is the house available until the 7th, and the departure is on the 8th? And here's my suggestion to team up; it's still possible, but only for the time I've outlined above.

If we do come, it will be Napalm and me. I'm currently checking if I can manage to get away and who else from our group will be there. The downsides are that we only have 4 days, and there's the EuroMaidan happening (although for some, that might be a plus)).
Who will be handling the judging? Vika won't be, and as I understand it, Tvaryna will be playing.

What a mess, we're having serious disagreements with my wife about this, and I definitely won't be taking the child.

Regarding expenses, here's a brief overview.
The biggest drain on the budget is transportation, especially with our beloved Russian Railways (RZD). If you live nearby, it's fine, but if you're coming from further away, it's a problem. Buying tickets in advance is much cheaper than buying them a week before.
Be sure to buy return tickets right away; it'll be hard to get out of town during the holidays.

The second expense is accommodation. The option suggested by Tvarina is quite good. If we can gather 15-20 people and the total cost is $2, then $100-120 per person for the entire tournament is very reasonable.

The third expense is food. It's acceptable if you avoid the central cafes. They'll try to convince you that $100 for lunch isn't expensive, but don't believe them; it's too much. It's better to find a decent cafeteria. In general, budget around 2000 rubles for 4 days.

Then there's poker; some people even manage to lose all their money on the train before they even arrive. It's best not to do that.

I recently watched Sam's stream, and someone at his house was watching TV, and you could hear the news where Putin was discussing the event... :smile04: :smile04: :smile04: although it's not surprising.

What's most surprising about this event is that an almost identical situation occurred about 10 years ago. I hope I don't need to explain how that ended. A smart person learns from others' mistakes, a fool learns from their own, but what should we call those who don't even want to learn from their own mistakes?)))
