Part 1: the beginning Part 2: a great game, no comments needed Part 3: a continuation of a great game (the peak of the series) Part 4: a very bad game (the pseudo-3D is depressing, a boring game) Part 5: an excellent game, but too elaborate (cameras, effects, super 3D, etc.) ... P.S.: If they released something like Settlers: 10th Anniversary, Heroes 3 (New Edition) with the graphics of the 5th part, it would be awesome... (3D only for battles)

I get the feeling that people aged 13-15 are sincerely convinced that the world didn't exist before them. Well, maybe except for cavemen. And that during HoMM II there was only one computer in the whole country - in the Kremlin. :smile16:
Guys, before the release of the third one, all of Russia (and not just Russia, of course) was crazy about Heroes 2! Not only in every home, but in every office people sat and battled it out in the second one, and since the internet back then was quite slow, Multiplayer was mostly done via hot-seat. Believe me, Heroes 3 was released to an absolutely ready, even conquered market! If that sounds doubtful - go to a library and get the Game.exe archives from 1999. Everyone by that time was waiting for the third one specifically as a sequel to the adored cult game!

Before the release of Heroes 3, I played Heroes 2, and to be honest, I liked it just as much as Heroes 3, which came out later. However, I didn't have a computer at the time, and I couldn't enjoy Heroes 4, and according to my friends, it wasn't very good. This probably played a role in my attitude towards it. To be honest, I don't think Heroes 4 is worse... I just don't like it as much as 2, 3, and 5... I never had the chance to play the first one...

Heroes 3 rocks!!!!! I've only heard bad things about Heroes 4!!!! And I don't even want to try Heroes 5!!! What if I like it!!! lol :) :) :)

I love all the games, but the fifth installment with the expansion is the best!)))
Especially with the expansion, because it has caravans and monsters accumulate in dwellings!)))
The fifth game incorporates all the best features from the previous installments, IMHO.

Yes, people still play the first and second games, and they will continue to play them, and they don't care about the new features and polished graphics. Graphics aren't everything. I have a lecture and practical session on graphics tomorrow morning. And in Heroes 3, the interface is pleasant and the graphics are quite acceptable to me. To be honest, the fourth and fifth versions feel cold and empty... and no amount of graphics can help them. In my opinion, excessive graphics only hinder gameplay. After all, external parameters are not the most important thing...

Heroes 3 is truly the peak of development. It's a successful combination of everything: the graphics aren't demanding, and the gameplay is well-thought-out. In short, it's an excellent continuation of the traditions of parts 1 and 2. Those who played the games in order, rather than starting with the later installments, will especially appreciate it.

Personally, I like all of them except for IV...
But it's probably because I'm not as good at playing IV.
It's interesting, but it stands out significantly with its new features.
It doesn't quite fit in between the third and fifth games.
