It was a very interesting game; I had control, and both of them had strong armies, and it's unclear who would have lost, but unfortunately, Roma didn't have enough time to finish the game, and he gave us the victory. Thank you for the game.
I might be wrong, but I think Roma had the brown color, and Jurist had the red color.
It was a very interesting game. I had control and they both had serious mana, and it was unclear who would have lost, but unfortunately Roma ran out of time to finish the game and he conceded the victory to us. Thanks for the game.
yeah that happened... around 1st I think a box with 10k experience and a fen external dwelling with a portal 2nd took another fen external dwelling and through the maxed Griffin Conservatory emerged into the center around 124 I think :o there a couple of Dragon Fly Hives, 2 boxes — 1 with 10 horses, the 2nd with experience I think, and an angel external dwelling by 3rd there were fat stacks of angels and birds coming out, but there turned out to be less time than expected, and then even more afterwards. Good luck to the guys further on!!!
Dimast (blue Necro GOsha) vs kalababa (red Barb Crag) def Defiant (brown Rampart Ivor Alkin) 137 We drafted Necro, Barb, Conflux, and Rampart; Defiant picked first and took Rampart, then took Necro. On respawn: 1 Dragon Fly Hive, external dwelling of zombies and horses, a box of 15k gold, GO 32 gnashed Castle horses. I came out on 123 or 124 with 11 horses and about 250 skeletons. Kalababa was already in the center with 2 angels and 10-19 ducks. A proposal for an alliance came; I agreed. Over week 2, I took down boxes and he took down hives. On 131, Rampart came out with a good army. Over 2 days, I gathered skeletons to 550. I hit Wings, then Teapot; after that everything went easy — Dragon Utopia with Gladius +4 all 5-level hat. Losing 2 horses, I sent Alkin to the tavern with 2 angels and 5 horses. The next turn, I took bracers from kalababa, but the opponent still decided not to run. Thanks for the game
At 117 I'm at the starting point with 30+ ducks and 4 angels, no mass magic, but a triple G.O. efreets 48 with GS and 65 cyclops (fortunately I have tactics). So I went out, see a Dragon Fly Hive, a bunch of junk, pandoras, missing pieces of AotD, and the road to Dimast. We chatted in ICQ, decided not to fight each other, but to wait for the opponent, split the treasure, then I rushed off to an empty respawn, Dimast hoarded some skeletons and broke everything in his path. And then it was a matter of technique, although one turn before GG we gave away both of our mains =)) got too relaxed... Thanks everyone for the game, it was interesting. I was afraid of getting a knife in the back, but Dimast is a legend :smile13:
Dimast (blue, Necro, Gosha), kalababa (red, Barb, Crag) def Defiant (brown, Rampart, Kyrre, Alkin) 137 We sketched out Necro, Barb, Conflux, and Rampart. Defiant picked first and took Rampart, then took Necro. On the respawn, 1 Dragon Fly Hive, external dwelling of zombies and centaurs, a chest for 15k gold, GO 32 stock Castle centaurs. I came out on day 123 or 124 with 11 centaurs and around 250 skeletons. Kalababa was already in the center with 2 angels and 10-19 Dragon Flies. A proposal for an alliance comes in; I agree. Over week 2, we cleared some chests, I got chests, he got Dragon Fly Hives. On day 131, Rampart came out with a good army. In 2 days I gathered skeletons and have 550. I take out Wings, then Teapot. After that everything went easy: Dragon Utopia with Gladius +4 all, level 5, Hat. Losing 2 centaurs, I sent Alkin to the tavern with 2 angels and 5 centaurs. Next turn I took Bracers from kalababa, but the opponent still decided not to run. Thanks for the game.
I confirm. I slightly corrected the report. I actually started as Kyrre, although now I realize that was a big mistake; I should have taken Ivor or Mephala. I took a risk, hoping for a decent layout, but it turned out lousy: from the start, I spotted a Griffin Conservatory with a Black Orb behind a stack of Champions, an external dwelling of Hives behind them, a Dragon Fly Hive behind Lizardmen, an unguarded Pandora's Box, a couple of Crypts. Seemed okay, but those couple of Crypts turned out to be the only money structures on the respawn, not counting the big Medusa dwelling, which I took on week 2, and the Pandora's Box was empty. In the following days, I spotted another Griffin Conservatory. The Dragon Fly Hive turned out to have 4 Wyverns. On breaking the Champions with morale, I lost 2 of my own Unicorns. But the secondary skills were good: Dungeon and Rampart. After clearing everything possible and using the market, I built Hives in the main Citadel, in the secondary I built a Fort and Elves, and in the Dungeon a Portal, Mage Guild (Slow), and Double Mana. Around the same time, I made a stupid mistake and mistakenly disbanded Kyrre, resulting in her death. I decided to make Alkin my main hero and it was a good call; he leveled excellently until the end of the game. On week 2, I got a message from kalababa saying that he sees my GO and will remain neutral as long as he isn't touched. Okay, I'm not about to reach the center anytime soon anyway, so I focus on taking the Griffin Conservatories. I take both, losing Centaurs. They turned out to be 2+3. Also cleared the Cloak of Rejection, Medusa dwelling. I run Alkin through upgrades; he picks up Logistics, Tactics, Earth Magic. I decide not to fight the GO on the way (50 Gorgons), but instead break through 10-19 Hydras, since there's no rush anyway — the center is clearly already eaten up, and at least I can come out with a decent army on day 131 with growth. So I do that: exit without losses with 18 Grand Elves, 5 Angels, 53 Grands, a stack of Grand Centaurs and single Pegasi, and 4 Dragon Flies. In the meantime, Kyrre, who was considered irrevocably lost, was redeemed in the Castle. Right on exit, I grab Dimast's Castle (Tower). I ask him for any information, same to kalababa, but both don't really answer much, so even then I started to suspect something was off. These suspicions were reinforced when it became clear that the center was already successfully divided between red and blue. A scout hero from red checked my army, but they are afraid to attack yet, as the parameters are roughly equal to mine, and there is no decisive army advantage yet. I take a chest for 20-49 Efreet for 20k XP, level up Earth Magic, Logistics, and Armorer. Next turn, I take a chest for 15k gold, a single Dragon Utopia for Devils with laughable rewards (CAPTAIN'S HAT, for crying out loud; a sword +3 attack; something from the Legion set; a morale badge and some other junk). About a turn later, Dimast's parameters almost double. I realize I'm probably doomed, but I still hope that maybe they are fighting each other too. I sent scouts to different respawns, killed some scout heroes, took some Castles, but it was all useless. Goshan covered me with 450 skeletons, 18 Grand centaurs, spell power 28 I think... Immediately a Lightning Bolt — all Grands are gone; skeletons take out 12 Grand Elves per hit, and the Angels only kill 2 centaurs. I buy peace, ran around a bit, but realized it was hopeless. Analyzing my game, I can say that firstly, I ended up in a stupid position having chosen Rampart, but by color I got brown, which just doesn't carry at all, even judging by the tournament report statistics. Secondly, I should have started with Ivor or Mephala, that's a fact. Thirdly, I should have exited earlier at any cost, even though I couldn't have done it before day 124 anyway.
So, the first round is coming to an end!
Let's get straight to the point: everyone played well. In two pairs, the following situation occurred: Toganash didn't show up for the game and didn't inform me about the reason for his absence, so he goes to the lower bracket, while rebellious and KobRa_RR advance to the upper bracket. In the trio of Huanito, =Stinger=, and darkello, the game is still being played, and I was asked in advance to wait for them, so everything is fine. Play until next Monday, and as soon as you finish, write down the result!
Next, we proceed as planned: in the upper bracket, everyone will now play in groups of 4, and 2 will advance. In the lower bracket, several players withdrew and left their groups, one by one, so the groups were combined into pairs in the order they appear in the table. There will be a break of 1 round in the lower bracket; the game will continue only after players from the second round of the upper bracket join it (i.e., the 3rd round will start on September 13th in the upper bracket, and the 2nd round will start on September 13th in the lower bracket).
The table for the upper bracket and a list with group numbers (who plays against whom) will be in the 3rd post of this thread. The list of who plays against whom in the lower bracket will appear on September 13th.
Information about the tournament is updated and can be found in the 3rd post in the "Hunger Games" folder.
Good luck to everyone!
P.S. Pit will upload the list for the upper bracket shortly.
Yes, the respawn points turned out to be close. On turn 117, I broke through with a Thunderlord and a Grand Order – a pack of green dragons with Giant Strength. Galthran had experience with Earth magic, but without Slow, instead with Skin and Shield. My army consisted of 8 Dread Knights, 3 Angels, 24 Vivs, 160 Grave Golems, and stats of 5 11. I attacked on turn 122 on the opponent's Castle, where there were 8 Behemoths, but I locked the gates. Thanks for the game!
I got to choose color and town third, managed to grab Conflux.
It worked out great, air magic was built, heroes with air spells, plus moner from the start. At respawn I took a level 2 Griffin Conservatory, three Dragon Fly Hives for 16 Wyverns, two external dwellings of psychics, chests for experience, for gold, for 50 pixies, 5 dwarves, a level 3 Dragon Utopia (gave shield +12, armor +4 attack, defense, and garbage). In the Dragon Utopia, all the birds and the feast were consumed, I broke through rusty dragons at 122, managed to eat a Dragon Fly Hive (4 Wyverns). And immediately met blue and green. My stats were the highest among everyone, but by the number of towns it was clear that Gomunguls in the center with 116-117 had eaten there, if not everything, then practically everything. The exits with Akella and RozenKran were very close to us, while Gomunguls had the entire treasure zone to himself, and even though the stats there were not very scary, obviously he had managed to get control or a good stack of meat. At the start, I decided that Akella and RozenKran had teamed up against me, so I raised the alarm, asking Gomunguls to join our skirmish, to which Gomunguls was in no hurry to respond :). I attacked shakti on my turn and didn't even let him buy me off, killing him in two turns. After that, it was a matter of technique, I ate two libraries, solidified the alliance with Gomunguls, and chased after galtran to the blue respawn, where galtran had eaten a Dragon Utopia, the stats there grew and there was more meat, but Gomunguls had already delivered the Fire book to me, so after casting Armageddon, I easily bought myself off, leaving RozenKran to the mercy of the green :), on his turn Gomunguls finishes off the red, gg wp :)
