Poll regarding the Rules: Mullich, Mages, Fortress on the Hill. Auto-translated

I voted against the Hill because I don't really like the idea of upgrading the Hive units there. But I'm always happy to upgrade my main army, especially if I've already upgraded them in the city. It doesn't appear very often, maybe once every 10-20 games, and sometimes it appears in places where there's no need to upgrade anything. And if everything is already upgraded in the city, then there's no point in upgrading anything there... it just wastes extra moves to save 1500 gold per week. The benefit isn't great; an extra conscript is better than a Ford. But if you're upgrading Hive units, that's a different story, and it's a good bonus.

Although, the Hill is conveniently located, and the Swamps and the secondary unit are even rarer. So, in principle, I'm in favor of the Hill. I just indicated that I was against it in the vote.

The scrolls were banned because they have very little value for the generator. Getting level 5 magic by killing 100 spearmen is just too easy.

I recently found an Explosion scroll on an M-map, and it was just lying there unprotected:D

Hillfort is rare, it drops once every 10-20 games.

That's an exaggeration! It doesn't drop that rarely.

1. I support the idea of a complete rebalancing of the Mulih;
2. I have mixed feelings about scrolls – it’s good when you have them, and not so good when your opponent does, so I’m more in favor of banning scrolls;
3. I don’t win very often, so I rarely encounter two resource nodes next to each other for two players. To avoid a possible additional advantage due to faster upgrades, I’m in favor of banning resource nodes.

I'm troubled by one situation. On one side, there are Necropolis creatures (either a camp or from a hero), and on the other, a Fortress on a hill. Jeez... the Necropolis castle doesn't generate on it. There's the possibility to upgrade, but not to use it. I consider them a special unit and suggest making an exception only for them, allowing upgrades on any map templates, even without the presence of a castle.

It's not entirely clear why Mullich should be unbanned when he's already been removed at the HD mod level... just in case he's hired by chance? That accounts for 2-3 percent of games.

It is easier to disable the Hill Fort in the HD+ text files. This is because it consumes a huge amount of value, while in the proposed version, its utility is minimal. Almost any object from the higher range (10K-15K) is better than a semi-unbanned Hill Fort—Dragon Utopia, Library, 7th level external dwelling, etc.

The same applies to the Cartographer, Tents, and Barriers.

How can I see what I actually voted for? I couldn't figure it out. I read what others are writing, and it seems like I need to revote; I think I made a mistake.

I agree with all the points regarding the new rules. P.S. Can anyone tell me why comrade Chingis keeps deleting his posts? I keep missing the chance to read them :D

He is afraid that someone will read it.

Results:

Sir Mullich, Heroes of Might and Magic, and Tant have been released from prison, and the new rules have been approved. It is now allowed to use them without restrictions.

Regarding Fortress on the Hill, starting on September 1, 2013, we will revert to the old rules, and it will once again be forbidden to use.

According to Fortuna on the Hill, starting from September 1, 2013, we are reverting to the old rules, and it will once again be forbidden to use.

Why? heroes13 redefined the post with a choice, meaning there are more votes in favor of allowing it.

I'll register two fake accounts right now, and it will be impossible again. :smile51:
P.S. In general, when a decision is made by voting, and it's roughly a 1:1 split, the established rule should be maintained, i.e., the ban.

Why, if the winning point was to unban Heroes of Might and Magic and Tant, did you end up imposing a restriction that they must be released from prison?

It was a metaphor.
