Posts from How are points awarded when completing a map (and what is the maximum number of points)?
(Sir Catch, forum www.heroesportal.net)
POINTS = [200 - (D + 10)/(Z+5) + B + G]*R,
where D - the number of days spent
Z - the number of captured castles
B - bonus for defeating all enemies (25 points) - however, if the map does not specify the condition "Defeat all enemies", this bonus will not be counted.
G - bonus for the Grail (25 points)
R - game difficulty coefficient (maximum - 2)
Moreover, in (D + 10)/(Z+5), the fractional part is discarded, so the maximum is 500 points. If you completed the game faster than your opponent, but he received more points, then: a) you did not kill all the enemies, but he did, b) you did not dig up the Grail, but he did, c) you captured fewer castles than he did.
"Regarding the bonus for destroying all enemies, it is not always given. In the game, there are scenarios of two types: with one victory condition or two. In those that have two conditions, the second will always be - "Defeat All Enemies". So, in all scenarios where there is such a condition (or scenarios with a single victory condition of this type), the bonus is given! And if there is no such victory condition in the scenario, then, unfortunately, no bonus is given! For example, in a scenario with the victory condition "Capture Town", destroying all enemies, from the point of view of the result, makes no sense.
If a player aims for a high score, then in scenarios with two conditions, he should always fulfill the second (destroy all enemies). Of course, after digging up the Grail. Then he will have two bonuses. An obstacle to such a scenario can be scenarios where the first condition is "Build the Grail Structure". But there is nothing to be done - you have to choose one bonus out of two."
Note: If you have a map with N cities, then to get the maximum number of points, you need to complete it in N-6 days (fulfilling all the conditions listed above). Of course, you can not capture all the cities, but each city left neutral reduces the permissible time to complete the map by one day. Allied cities are treated as neutral at the end of the game. The maximum time that can be spent on completing the map and still get 500 points (in theory) is 42 days. It all depends on the number of cities, and there can be a maximum of 48 on the map.
Here, figure it out... If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
The most I've gotten is 492, but I wasn't playing alone; I teamed up with a friend and we defeated 6 opponents (in an alliance) at 200%, and we finished in 56 turns. When I played alone, the maximum I scored was around 462 against 7 opponents (in an alliance), but often I only got 442-449. In all cases, this resulted in the "Archangel" rank. Of course, this was all done with the City Portal and Dimension Door.
Maybe someone knows, and if so, could you enlighten me? I've been playing for about 10 years, and I still don't know. And if it's not too much trouble, could you tell me what timeframe I need to aim for and what I need to do? Maybe I'm missing something...
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
