I threw this game again
and this is already the 2nd time in a row that I’ve lost immediately after resuming a postponed game, on the very 1st turn! :smile18: gotta be more careful after pauses in the game :)
though, I also noticed — if the fight is close, the generator can deliberately set you up for a loss — in my case it was a Griffin Conservatory, where, with equal morale, the mobs’ full stacks kept getting extra attacks, while our morale only kicked in when we should have already been running away :D on top of that, the basilisks never stoned anyone once, otherwise Taz would have popped out through the tavern instead))

but there was hope they wouldn’t find me right away, and instead would keep necromancing until the end ;)
also, lots of cyclopes allowed me to build the mage guilds very quickly, despite trading away all resources in the mid-game
the 1st Conflux mage guild gave Town Portal on the 4th level, which was built specifically for the TP scroll :D on the 5th level there were fish, so the guild was essentially useless, but the 2nd Conflux guild gave Dimension Door
besides, Taz, other than portaling and diving for Dragon Utopias, only ran along the roads, while the noobs fought away from them
Coronius with expert earth magic was especially helpful, having leveled up to 12
well, the opponent either took pity on me or, as it turned out, made a mistake, ran out of mana, and sacrificed his army to resurface, compensating for my losses))) in the utopias I was also lucky with stats, and I managed to prayer-cast a few things
before the final fight, of course, I checked Gosh who had popped out for speed artifacts — if there were any, I would have built archers the next turn, and in the meantime, waited with Taz in the Castle
but there were no speed artifacts there, after mass haste only 3 berserkers survived, gg, thanks to the opponent for the game :)

by the way, that silly jump was also on the next turn after loading the save:eek:
