Alright, fine, play as the Tower then... But in a one-on-one battle, the Castle will completely crush the Tower... It's been tested. There (in the Tower), you only have Mages, Nagas, and Titans – they're good, but everything else... Ugh....
Compare all the creatures of the Tower and the Castle (not in the usual way, with all skills at level 1 and no magic), but as a level 20 Mage vs. a level 20 Knight... All the Castle's creatures will have decent defense and attack (and that's all I need), while the Mage casts one spell and spends the rest of the round watching his army get turned into dust... :) You see, in the Castle, both the Priest and the Knight are warriors (well, the Priest is a combat mage, but that doesn't change anything), while in the Tower, you only have Mages and Alchemists (a parody of a Priest...).

Well, you know, I wouldn't say that! Honestly... The Castle will win against the Tower mainly due to faster development in the early game – but if you do it the way you suggest – 20th level against 20th level, with troops for the same number of weeks – then it's far from certain that the Knight will win, believe me!!! You can cast a very powerful spell – like berserk half of your army – and what will you do? Go make a great explosion, a meteor shower, a chain lightning spell :D And just something massive, like a slowing spell – and successfully shoot down all the Knight's army! Archdevils are, of course, strong creatures, but there are ways to deal with them – Nagas, for example ;) In general, your attack/defense won't help either :) Besides, you can reduce these parameters with spells ;) And in general, in fact, everything depends on the player who controls the army. It really all depends on him!
I agree! If a player is playing against the AI with this setup, then most likely the player will win, no matter which side (Castle or Tower) they play as... but player against player is more complicated... it all depends on the players themselves... it's just a matter of luck, and of course, it all depends on experience and skill.

and also - please remember that with random map generation, the spawn points play a big role, and humans have a richer selection than most other factions, and the terrain is good - it's a civilization, after all! (....I don't like swamps though))
The downsides, of course, are the limitations in magic, first of all... the risk of being left without Dimension Door, Fly, and Town Portal for some is quite high.... and Fanatics are weak for level 5 (which, in my opinion, should be one of the main units), although they do shoot.
In general, if you look at the Castle, it's through the lens of comparison with other factions...
The situation with the Rampart is as follows (I'm mainly considering the upgraded versions):
Centaurs - Halberdiers. Almost comparable units, but Centaurs are slightly faster and don't require stone to build... although they are more expensive.
Gnomes - Archers. Well, Archers are certainly more useful, especially at the beginning. There are more Gnomes in terms of growth rate, they are more resilient, and their task is to support and take the brunt of the attack (and withstand it!!)... Archers are good at the beginning, then they become a nuisance for the enemy (annoying, but no more), Gnomes, on the contrary, have magic resistance...
Elves - Griffins. Great Elves, despite having very little health, are a powerful unit with a double attack (don't forget that 2 attacks increase the chance of Luck triggering, which the Rampart almost always has in its "offerings"). Griffins, with a comparable growth rate to Elves, don't shoot... and importantly, Elves can finish a battle with a strong opponent without losses (especially if their movement speed is increased with the Ivory Tower), while Griffins cannot, as they fight in melee and losses are quite possible, although small (still, it's a strong unit - I'm not arguing).
Pegasus - Crusaders. Hmm. Well, what can I say.... I like the Rampart... but not enough to lie to its face-)))))). Crusaders are stronger. Significantly. Proven=)))
Dryads - Fanatics. But here it's interesting: completely different roles, as in the case of Gnomes, but in reverse. Fanatics need to be protected from melee combat, while Dryads can protect any unit themselves. Here, I am completely on the side of Dryads - their ease of construction (in the first week with 200% difficulty), a growth rate of 8 per week, and the ability to hold their ground really appeal to me (although it's not rational to use them against Fanatics and they move slowly). In addition, Tactics is a frequent skill for Rampart Rangers, and in a serious battle, you can position them well so that the enemy cannot flank them.
Unicorns - Champions. Difficult to compare. On the one hand, Unicorns can blind, which is cool, and they provide magic resistance, which is also good. On the other hand, the cavalry charge deals significant damage. And they are built only with wood and gold and without any prerequisites for building levels 5 and 6. I think the units are comparable, with a slight advantage for Champions.
Gold Dragons - Archangels. Dragons are immune to the magic of the Castle, as Town Portal is not available in the Castle. But in direct combat, Archangels are stronger (although not significantly). Dragons are difficult to build, but they only require crystals. I don't think that in approximately the same spawn conditions, Angels will appear much earlier than Dragons.
This is just my opinion, if there are any gross errors - please forgive me and don't judge too harshly-))))))!!

1. Spearman is the strongest unit of level 1.
2. Archer is a weak point because all towers prefer to eliminate them first; there should be many of them (a unit rated 3).
3. Griffin is the backbone, good speed, a response to all attacks, decent strength, an overpowered unit!
4. Knight is the mainstay of the entire army, moderately strong, attacks twice, average speed.
5. Monk is strong but very vulnerable.
6. Cavalier - the cavalry bonus is key!
7. Archangel is the strongest creature in all castles (read: in CASTLES, i
In my opinion, it's the strongest faction in Heroes, in the right hands, of course...

2. Archer is a weak point, because all towers prefer to eliminate them first; there should be many of them (a unit worth a 3).

7. Archangel is the strongest creature in all castles (read - in CASTLES, i.e., among the factions; the rest, like the Crystal Dragon and Azure Dragon, don't count).
Well, well... Spearman is the strongest unit of level 1?? Haven't you heard of Centaurs????
Archer is worth a 3? No, it's worth 3.5 because, compared to Magog, it's much more useful!!!!!!!!!!!
But in general, Haven rules (yes, it produces deserters!!!);)
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war...
(on impossible difficulty)!!! It's the perfect Castle.
With a decent respawn rate, two weeks is enough to create a decent army.
Well, well... Is the Spearman really the strongest unit at level 1? What about Centaurs?
An Archer with a 3? No, a 3.5, because it's much more useful compared to Magog!
But overall, Castle rules (even if it does produce deserters!!!);)
Ultimately, it's up to the player to decide what's more important: speed or defense:smile13: :
