Yesterday, I made a really silly mistake. I thought it was already September 28th and that registration had ended the night before, so I urgently started preparing the draw. I spent half a day gathering up to 80 players. I rushed them with their applications. I participated in a conference where several players accused each other of cheating. In the evening, Tanya and I discussed the final list for a long time, assigned players to groups, completed almost the entire draw, and then more applications came in. It turned out that yesterday was actually September 27th  and registration hadn't even closed yet :smile04:. That was close to GG :smile33:.
I had to do everything again and change the regulations to include those who were waiting until the last moment and didn't register. Thanks to Tanya; she managed to stay calm and think clearly, and she didn't even get mad at me.
So.
Participation was denied to:
- new players who recently registered on the forum and are not active,
- a player who was banned on a friendly resource on September 25th,
- players against whom there have been and still are many complaints regarding tournaments from the organizers,
- players who did not provide information about themselves and their "heroic biography" within the deadline.
We also discussed Ihtiandr's candidacy: he has played very few games in tournaments and withdrew from previous Tournaments. The organizers want people to play, not just receive tech points. We hope that this time Ihtiandr will take it seriously and there won't be any problems.
Regarding late registrations. Based on experience, withdrawals are likely. Therefore, for the next two weeks, late registrations will be accepted. The player will be assigned to a specific group and included in the list of possible replacements. If a spot becomes available in a group with a player from the same tier, and games with the withdrawing player haven't started yet, a replacement will be made.
In total, we have
84 participants.
8 players seeded into the fifth tier will participate in the
qualifying matches:
pair 1 =
Ayauhteotl +
iamoverit Dungeon
pair 2 =
Timmyguitar +
Nestor86 Tower
pair 3 =
Ihtiandr +
Steeltiger Castle
pair 4 =
ShadowManiac +
Gondza Castle
The deadline for qualifying matches is one week (September 28th - October 5th).
In the
group stage, there are 80 participants. 16 groups of 5 players each.
Each player in a group plays against all other players once. In total, everyone must play 4 matches. One point is awarded for a win, 0.5 points for a draw, and 0 for a loss.
Tanya will create beautiful tables; I'm posting them as a list for now, but the colors will be similar to the standard ones:
/topic/at/556088/ - here are the tables for 5 players; if you want to start playing urgently, check the colors.
The color in the draw tables is for the initial generation. Then the colors change after each SUBJECTIVE restart.
Two players with the highest number of points advance from the group. If the number of points is equal, places are determined based on additional criteria (in order of priority):
1. Berger coefficient,
2. Head-to-head result,
3. Points earned in games "weigh" more than tech wins.
If it is impossible to determine the best players based on these criteria, we will offer the players a system of tiebreaker matches.
The deadline for the group stage is September 28th to November 26th.
We will not make changes to the rules or templates. General tournament rules can be changed by discussing them in the appropriate thread. A voluntary decision to make changes during the tournament creates dissatisfaction and disputes. Registration was conducted according to the announced rules, so we will play according to those rules. I will organize the first posts in Russian and English in the coming days, write detailed rules for different templates, and provide the regulations.
I would like to remind players that our tournament has a rule for subjective restarts - "a total of 3 days".
