The staff members gathered again in the conference room for an emergency meeting regarding Tox's death and the attempted assassination of Kosha. This time, everyone was more determined, intending to find Tox's killer, using the clue left behind. However, a unanimous decision could not be reached, although accusations were made against many. Then, the public's attention shifted to Arandor, who aroused considerable suspicion. After lengthy and heated discussions, it was finally decided to exile him as an enemy of the institute and send him into exile, but something unexpected happened... A formidable figure appeared behind one of the tables, whom those in the know recognized as the chairman of the Triumvirate. An act of ultimate rationalization was placed on the table, already signed by the other members; Vnyukov pulled out a Seal from somewhere and slammed it down on the act. The stunned mages and their assistants watched as, first, as if dissolving,
Siverfail disappeared from the room, and then, in a similar manner, the owner of the Seal vanished, not giving anyone time to think.
Later, those present were able to read in the act, left on the table as if in mockery:
"Case No. 151. Name: Siverfail. Brief essence of the inexplicable: extraordinary analytical abilities. Decision: to recognize this phenomenon as irrational and transcendent, and therefore, not actually existing". Someone remarked: "Oh, before they at least eliminated real inexplicable phenomena. But now - they killed the guy for nothing. He hadn't even properly learned magic yet..."
Siverfail was executed. The third night begins.

Solovetsky Herald, Issue 3. Vanity of vanities
This night at the institute was difficult and eventful, as never before. First, a man approached
Thorium, asking what they were talking about yesterday. Thorium was surprised: he thought his interlocutor had a good memory.
A man in a shiny suit approached
Gumer this time, and the result of the conversation with him was as usual: Gumer did not leave his office at night.
Strange, very strange things happened in the office of the respected
Ment. The same elegant man with a cane came to see him, believing that Ment needed protection more than anyone else tonight. Ment complained to his interlocutor that before his arrival, he saw a talking pike in the washbasin, or Baba Yaga flying through the sky on a broom... Someone very short was quietly watching this conversation from around the corner. But suddenly, before the eyes of the stunned guests, the same thing happened to Ment as had happened to Siver yesterday: he simply disappeared, as if dissolving into the air. At the same time, many things disappeared without a trace from the office. Of several packs of documents signed by the director of the NIICHAVO, only a single sheet remained in the closet, on which one could read:
"Act of rationalization. Case No. 197. Name: Ment. Brief essence of the inexplicable: there is no doubt that he is only one, but at the same time there are two of them. He exists in two forms. Decision: to recognize this phenomenon as irrational and transcendent, and therefore, not actually existing". And then the night visitor who read this began to understand: he had just spoken to one of Ment's forms, but he hadn't seen the other Ment for the last 24 hours. The second Ment disappeared yesterday... He looked at the act. The date standing next to the signature and ominous seal was yesterday's. Looking at the shelf where the act lay, the guest saw with bewilderment that there was another sheet there - a piece of newspaper with an announcement of the film "Die Hard".
Meanwhile, unprecedented unrest was taking place in the vivarium. Several ghouls were released from their enclosure, and the supervisor of the vivarium, who was also a ghoul, was reasonably suspected of this. After getting drunk, they opened the enclosure with the hecatoncheirs, who, although quite good-natured, with their huge bodies threatened to cause a lot of trouble, and then almost released Dracula... Fortunately,
Lord Mortulus and
The_awe, who arrived in time to help, were able to resolve the situation.
Neyra Drake, preparing to go for a walk in the corridor, was met by an unexpected "guest" - an Arab, who blocked her way and did not want her to continue her walk. Annoyed, Neyra returned to her office.
And another Arab, who had been plotting (if, of course, he is capable of plotting) something very bad for the third day, but could not bring it to fruition, was very determined today. He burst into one of the offices (where even the door turned out to be open) and, without hesitation, released a huge amount of lightning energy into the room. Powerful discharges killed first
GoedenDag, to whom many ordinary employees treated with such reverence, and then did not spare the invisible
Loreley, who was never destined to demonstrate the success of his work... At the same time, the owner of the office continued to sit calmly and motionless at his desk: not a single discharge harmed him. The killer glanced at him and disappeared, apparently fearing trouble. Later, an unknown scientific work from 1908 was found at the site of the tragedy.
And at this time, a man in glasses, taking some ointments and other medicines with him, teleported not just anywhere, but to the morgue, where the body of
Tox, who was killed yesterday, lay. Bending over the body, he began to perform some kind of mysterious ritual, reciting an incantation. However, nothing helped - apparently, too much time had passed since Tox's death. The disappointed mage had nothing left to do but return to the institute.
Further, in accordance with the traditions of the "Solovetsky Herald", there should have been a bulletin board, but it was not in this issue. According to rumors, someone influential visited the editorial office and strongly asked that this section be temporarily omitted...Alive:1.
