Del Shannon – Runaway (I Wonder)
in the spirit of Quentin

Nightwish - The Carpenter

Dreadful Shadows - A Better God

Deer?
My friend wears a t-shirt with them.

I watched the clip, it's all about deer)
This is like a new Russian band that has really shaken up the metal scene)
I found out about them because of the vocalist - he's a teacher at his own extreme vocal school, and I've watched his video lessons. (The lessons are good, by the way, sometimes useful, even though I don't particularly like his vocal style). He teaches all sorts of extreme vocal techniques, although many of them sound very similar and almost indistinguishable.
And he's constantly promoting his album everywhere. I even downloaded it, just to know (he convinced me, he convinced me).
And I thought it was just another boring metalcore or alternative band, but when I checked it out, it turned out to be experimental and progressive.
And this song, in my opinion, is just not very good.

I watched the clip too, and I didn't like it very much either. Russian bands tend to overestimate themselves. Folk bands always point out that their unique music is a fusion of folk, jazz, blues, rock, ethnic music, and [insert musical genre of your choice]. Progressive bands call themselves progressive or come up with meaningless, multi-layered names. Metal bands do things differently: by speeding up a bit, they present themselves as power metal; by adding keyboards, they become symphonic metal; by finding an extreme vocalist, they become death metal. Scorpions - Fly To The Rainbow

Therion - A Suburb to Hell

yes, I agree)
Recently, Mona sent me a band called Aedra. And it's supposed to be power metal. But it's not power metal!
I don't even know what genre you could classify such music as. It's some kind of pop metal - the music itself is very simple and meaningless. If it's even metal at all.

Russian metal – these two words are enough. Scorpions - Fly To The Rainbow Why did they start playing hard rock ballads instead of such wonderful prog-rock compositions like this one? They did a very good job.

I like the ending in the cover version of Therion's song. They added some words, and it turned out to be incredibly cool. Dope - Die MF Die Disturbed - Conflict Disturbed - Voices Disturbed - The Game Disturbed - Down With The Sickness System Of A Down - Attack System Of A Down - Chop Suey! System Of A Down - Dreaming Added after 42 seconds But the ending in the original version doesn't appeal to me at all. In general, the original version is better.

Batmobile - Hard-on Rock

Myrath - 2011 "Tales of the Sands"

And this is supposed to be power metal. But it's not power metal!
I don't even know what genre to categorize this music as.

Well, what I sent you definitely isn't power metal. Do they call themselves power metal? Let me Google it.

progressive metal, melodic metal, power metal, russian metal.
Highlight the correct one. Yes, just like Vegtam said.

Smile Empty Soul – This Is War

Great song. I recommend it to fans of acoustic music.

Uaral - 2005 "Sounds of Pain..." Uaral - 2007 "Lamentos a Poema Muerto" I listened to the second album for the first time, and so far, I haven't found any masterpieces on it like "Surrendered to the Decadence" and "Niche" from the first album. Added after 46 seconds yes, eraser deer) Added after 3 minutes

great song. I recommend it to fans of acoustic music

You're talking as if acoustic music is a separate genre. Smile Empty Soul – This Is War (Acoustic Version) nothing special

because you... as Lokken would say, you get the idea.

Alkaline Trio - Mercy Me (acoustic)

I don't remember what Locken says there. Swallow the Sun - Plague Of Butterflies lol, I did it! I listened to it, I listened to it, I listened to it! The point is that this song is 34 minutes and 43 seconds long, and I always find it boring to listen to it. Although, in reality, there is absolutely no difference - listening to such a song twice or listening to an album of ten songs once. If you're sitting in front of a PC, of course. But if such a song comes up randomly, it will be terrible; in 99.9% of cases, I will skip it because I don't have enough time to listen without a break. As for the song itself, I didn't catch anything special in it. Added after 41 seconds funny, it's just one single scrobble on Last.fm.
